Mending Workshop with Alexandra Keephart

Join us for a Mending Workshop, facilitated by Alexandra Keephart, owner & creative mind behind local business "Son of a Binkie." Alexandra will lead participants through key hand-sewing techniques that will give participants the skills to confidently sew patches, hem sleeves and pants, and skillfully sew on buttons. This class is ideal for folks who are beginner-sewers and participants looking to give longer life and extra love to their favorite well-worn garments. All necessary materials will be provided.
About the Instructor:
Our instructor, Alexa, has loved sewing since she was little. Self taught, but she picked up a lot of knowledge about working with different fabrics and alterations from her time at Ralph Lauren. After her first son was born she took things to the next level and started an eco-friendly baby clothing company called ‘Son of a Binkie’. She specializes in mending clothing, and has had a lot of practice in this from her three less-than-careful children.
